On July 15, EU released law (EU) No 752/2014 to replace the Annex I of law (EC) No396/2005. The law (EC) No396/2005 regulates the maximum residual limits (MRLs) of pesticide in plant source and animal source foods and fodders in the European Union. Annex I of this law regulates the products involved.

       Main revisions contain: additional information of products under supervision of the law provided in Annex I; the Annex I is divided into two parts: the first part lists the applicable plant source and animal source products to MRLs and the second part lists other products applicable to MRLs; a new item is added to Part A of Annex I to cover the processing products which MRLs may be set possibly, i.e. products mentioned in Law (EC) No396/2005; the footnotes of the annex are revised with the change of the annex structure.  

The law takes effect 20 days after the announcement and will implement since Jan. 1, 2015.
