According to United States Department of Agriculture’s world agricultural output report, it is discovered that 2014’ Russia sunflower seed output is expected to be 9.8 million tons, 400000 tons or 3.9% is lower than the forecast value of the last month and 800000 tons or 7.1% is lower than that of the last year as well.

Russia Statistics Bureau expects that Russia sunflower seed planting area will be 6.8 million hectares this year; by contrast, the planting area of the last year is 7.3 million hectares. The United States Department of Agriculture expects that the sunflower seed harvesting area will be 6.5 million hectares, reduced by 300000 hectares when comparing with the last year.
