UK Food Standard Agency Issues the Food Allergen Label Industry Guidelines

According to the information of UK Food Standard Agency (FSA), on August 1, UK Food Standards Agency issued the small and medium-sized enterprise food allergen label guidelines, so as to help small and medium-sized enterprises deal with the EU’s new prepackaged and non prepackaged (bulk) food label laws and regulations which will take effect on December 13, 2014.

The new regulations require the food enterprise to identify information of 14 kinds of allergen, grain containing gluten, crustaceans, mollusks, egg, fish, peanut, nut, soy, milk, celery, mustard, sesame, lupin, sulfur dioxide (content is higher than 10 mg/kg or 10 mg/L).
