FP7 Contributed 200,000 Euro to establish the FACET project. The database contains the detailed information of food additives and flavoring agents in different groups of foods, as well as large amount data of relevant packaging materials. It strengthens the risk assessment and monitoring capacity of EU institutions for chemical exposure of foods by integrating relevant measuring coefficients. On the whole, the project can help protect rights of consumer, support food chain innovation and promote formulating international food supervision rules and developing risk management method.
The project period is four years. Twenty research centers, academic institutions, large or medium-sized and small enterprises from 13 member countries such as
