Canada Plans to Approve the Use of Four Kinds of Phosphates in Multiple Food

  According to Health Canada, Health Canada initiated consultation on the approval for the use of four kinds of phosphates in multiple food in September 11th, with the expiration date on Nov. 24, 2014.

  The four kinds of phosphates are respectively Tripotassium Phosphate, Potassium Tripolyphosphate, Sodium Potassium Tripolyphosphate and Sodium Potassium Hexametaphosphate.

  Currently, Canada has approved the use of trisodium phosphate, sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium hexametaphosphate in food.

  Health Canada expresses that it will be determined to reviewing the latest research results about food additives, and if any people has any opinion or suggestion on the approval of the four phosphates can submit such opinon and suggestion before the expiration date.
