The US CPI rose slightly and food prices increased by 3% on year on year in September.

Data released by the US Department of Labor on October 22 showed that the US consumer price index (CPI) rose slightly in September, which was still below the target set by the Federal Reserve Board, foreign media reported.
      Data released by the US Department of Labor showed that CPI after seasonal adjustment increased by 0.1% quarter on quarter in September and dropped by 0.2% in August. Compared with the same period last year, CPI increased by 1.7% year on year in September and were flat from August.
      Core CPI of foods and energies excluding those with bigger volatility increased by 1.7% year on year and were flat from August; core CPI increased by 0.1% quarter on quarter, higher than the zero growth in August.
