Oil World, an industry publication in Hamburg, Germany released a report to lower the global output forecast data of sunflower seeds and products in 2014/15.

　　Oil World expected that the global output of sunflower seeds was 40.6 million tons in 2014/15, below the earlier forecast data of 41.4 million tons, and the output last year of 42.6 million tons.

　　Oil World expected that the output of sunflower seeds in the former Soviet states would be reduced to 20.5 million tons from 22.4 million tons last year, among which, the output of sunflower seeds in Ukraine was expected to be 10 million tons while the earlier forecast data was 10.7 million tons and the output last year was 11.1 million tons. The output of sunflower seeds in Russia was expected to be 9.2 million tons, the earlier forecast data was 9.5 million tons, and the output last year was 10 million tons.

　　The output of sunflower seeds in 28 EU countries was expected to be 8.9 million tons, above the earlier forecast data of 8.6 million tons, and the output last year was 8.9 million tons. The output of sunflower seeds in Argentina was expected to be 2.7 million tons, consistent with the earlier forecast data, and the output last year was 2.3 million tons.

　　Oil World expected that the global crush of sunflower seeds was 36.9 million tons in 2014/15, the earlier forecast data was 37.8 million tons, and the output last year was 38.5 million tons.

　　The global ending inventory of sunflower seeds was expected to be 2.4 million tons, the earlier forecast data was 2.3 million tons, and the global ending inventory last year was 2.5 million tons.
