USDA Counselor: Argentine Sunflower Seed Output is Expected to be 2.5 Million Tons in 2015

The latest counselor report which is released by USDA Foreign Agricultural Service shows that, Argentine sunflower seed output of 2015/16 (March to February of next year) is expected to be 2.5 million tons, less than the previously forecasted 2.7 million tons, and the output of the last year was 2.1 million tons.

  The counselor expects that Argentine sunflower seed export of 2015/16 will be 20000 tons, less than the previously forecasted 70000 tons, and the export of the last year was 75000 tons. The sunflower seed squeezing amount is expected to be 2.3 million tons, less than the previously forecasted 2.5 million tons, and the squeezing amount of the last year was 2.3 million tons. Argentine sunflower seed ending inventory of 2015/16 is expected to be 0.821 million tons; the previously forecasted was 0.831 million tons, and the ending inventory of the last year was 0.723 million tons.
