Recently, Japan has sent the announcement titled Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) is proposed to revise the food grade additives standard and specification (revise the agrochemical residue standard) of the Food Hygiene Law (G/SPS/N/JPN/354) to WTO secretariat. The revised content relates to pesticide Dimethomorph residue standard. The standard limit regulation is as follows: Change the maximum residue limit of Dimethomorph in cabbage to 2 ppm from 6 ppm; change the maximum residue limit in grape to 5 ppm from 10 ppm; change the maximum residue limit in cauliflower to 2.0 ppm from 6 ppm; change the maximum residue limit in broccoli to 1 ppm from 6 ppm, and change the maximum residue limit in garlic to 2.0 ppm from 2 ppm.
