Buenos Aires Grain Exchange released its weekly report that, as of April 16, 2014/15 Argentina sunflower harvest has been all over, with 95.2% harvest completed. So far, the national average sunflower yield has reached 2.22 tons / hectare, which was 2.22 tons / hectare last week. The area of harvested sunflower seed has reached 1,237,870 hectares, with a production of 2,750,650 tons.

The Exchange maintained its forecast for 2014 /15 Argentina sunflower seed production this week, 2.75 million tons.Exchange data shows that sunflower sown area in year 2014/15 in Argentina was 1.3 million hectares, 12 percentage points lower than the 1.48 million hectares of year 2013/14.
