Russia sunflower seed production in year 2015/16 (September to August next year) is estimated at 9.5 million tons, 600,000 tons or 6.7% increase over than the 8.9 million tons of last year, but still below the 10.6 million tons in year 2013/14. Russian sunflower harvested area in year 2015/16 is estimated at 6.8 million hectares, higher than the 6.4 million hectares in the previous year and flat with year 2013/14.

Russian domestic total amount of sunflower seeds in year 2015/16 is estimated at 9.5 million tons, higher than the 9.1 million tons of last year, 10.1 million tons in 2013/14 year. Sunflower seed crush is estimated at 9,000,000 tons, higher than the 8.5 million tons of last year, 9.3 million tons in year 2013/14. Russian sunflower ending stock in year 2015/16 is projected at 118,000 tons, lower than the 188,000 tons of the previous year, 369,000 tons in year 2013/14.
