Canada Ministry of Health released No. PRD2015-12 file that, PMRA intends to approve use and sale of two agrochemical active ingredients of Cueva TGAI and Cueva RTU TGAI, as well as eight kinds of products containing copperoctanoate active ingredients, for control of fungal and bacterial diseases in lawns, nuts, ornamental crops and a variety of vegetable crops in fields and greenhouses. The deadline for comments is the 45th day after issuance of the document.

Copperoctanoate is a fatty acid salt with copper ions and caprylic acid. It can be applied to leaf surface as fungicides and bactericides to control or inhibit a variety of plant diseases, a new residential and commercial active ingredient. After appropriate assessment, Canada Ministry of Health believes that copperoctanoate products will not pose a threat to human health and the environment.
