Recently, India announced amendment act of “2011 Version of Food Safety and Standards (Lecithin)”, amendment act of “2014 Version of Food Safety and Standards (Contaminants, Toxins and Residues)” as well as amendment act of "2015 Version of Food Safety and Standards (Food Standards and Food additives)". Lecithin is approved as a cookies food additive and its use standard is modified. Use standard of contaminants, toxins and residue levels and steviol glycosides in a variety of food is modified.
