Japanese food enterprise Meiji announced recently that the prices for ten chocolates, which including popular products almond filled chocolate, macadamia filled chocolate, would be raised since Jul. 14th, the amount of increase would be around 10% to 20%. Besides the influence by JPY devaluation, the increase in price is mainly caused by the rising price of raw material of cocoa beans and nuts.
Meiji
raised the price for five chocolates in chocolate effect series by 10% in April
this year. This adjustment after that in April is the second time of adjustment
in this year.
