Vietnam Economic Times reported recently that AGROVIET data
showed the cashew export volume in May was 32,000ton, and export value reached
221 Million USD. So far, in the first five months this year, totally 117,000
ton cashews were exported in the entire country, and the export value reached
828 Million USD. The export volume increased 14.4% and export value increased
27.3% year on year. The average export price of cashew in this year is 7146
USD/Ton, increasing 14% year on year. America, China and Netherlands are still
the greatest importers of Vietnamese Cashew, respectively accounting for 35.6%,
14.7% and 10.5% of total export volume.
At present, the harvest season of
Vietnamese cashew is drawing to an end. As main producing areas, the purchasing
price of fresh cashew in Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc Province has risen from
10,000 Dong/kg to 35,000 Dong/kg. At present, the orders of Vietnam cashew processing
enterprises are unfailing, and raw material demand exceeds supply. They need to
import in great amount from main production countries such as Ivory Coast,
Tanzania, Cambodia and Indonesia.
