According to the
vice chairman of the Black Sea hazelnuts and Exporters Association, from
September 1, 2014, to May 11, 2015, Turkey has exported approximately 167000
tons of hazelnut, worth US $21 billion. Despite the decline in production, it
brings the opportunity to price speculation.
These figures are
much higher than the industry's expectations; the producers are especially
satisfied of the 2014-2015's annual price.
