Kenya Will Use New Import Standardization Mark

Pubtime:2015-08-17Author:Source: Hits:

Kebs convened a news conference and announced the new import standardization mark (ISM) since August 1, 2015. Importers shall apply and acquire new marks so that the commodities can enter Kenya.

New marks will specially make labels for each kind or each batch of products. The labels are of safety characteristics and meanwhile provide 2D code for consumers to trace detailed information such as product imported quantity and authentication situations. Kebs claimed that the labels will effectively protect consumers and avoid illegal dealers to forge quality labels.
