As predicted by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the
possibility is over 90% that EL Nino phenomenon will last till 2015/2016,
including the winter of entire Northern Hemisphere; the possibility is about
85% that the phenomenon will last to early spring of 2016. The EL Nino phenomenon
in this year will cause drought in south area of Asia while sufficient rainfall
in California, which will improve the macadamia output in California where
suffered from drought in the past four years.
However, the bad news arrived for farmers in Australia because the EL Nino phenomenon in Equatorial Pacific will lead to drought in southeast Asia and Australia.
