Environment Protection Agency issued ultimate regulation on
August 19, 2015 that it will exempt maximum residual limit of methane sulfonic
acid under certain conditions.
According to new
regulation, when methane sulfonic acid is used in animals as acidifier, maximum
residual limit is 3.0% (based on weight). When it is used in public catering
sites, dairy processing equipment and food processing equipment and tools as
inert ingredient of antibiosis pesticide formula and dosage is not over 5,000ppm, residual
limit will be exempted.
The regulation will take
effect since the announcement date. Deadline of consultation is on October 19,
2015.
