UNFAO (United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization) recently released media notification that the global food price index continuously dropped in August, creating the new single-month decrease since December 2008. Meanwhile, world grain yield is promising, and output predicted value becomes higher.
According to the notification, the global food price index in August drops 5.2% than the 164.6 than that in July. UNFAO said the main reason of sharp reduction of global food price is that the global food supply is sufficient, energy price falls and international market worries about economic slowdown in some major economic entities.
