On October, 7, US issued Directive on Verification of Sustainable Equivalence of Foreign Food Safety System
and its main points cover:

It summarizes role and obligation of people in FSIS in charge of verifying
sustainable equivalence of foreign food law system;
2.
It sums up measures to be adopted when foreign verification system makes
amendments which thus leads to invalid equivalence to the US system or when
FSIS cannot make equivalence judgment due to void of information from foreign
governmental principal organs.
3. It concludes procedures on relevant information such as yearly certificate for companies with export qualification provided by foreign governmental principal organs gleaned by FSIS.
