Food and Drug Administration released three new
regulations on imported food and agricultural product safety on Nov. 13 to
reduce possible food safety problems. The three regulations are respectively Foreign Supplier Verification Programs, Certificate for Third Party Approval and
Agricultural Product Safety.
These three regulations are parts of the Food Safety Modernization Act passed in 2010. Five out of seven regulations of Food Safety Modernization have been proposed. The remaining two will be finally confirmed in 2016.
