EU Minister approved new regulations on new food to perfect conditions, accelerate new and innovative food entering market while guarantying high level food safety, provide more food choices for EU consumers and create a more favorable environment for agricultural food industry in Europe. Compared with existing regulations formulated twenty years ago, the changes of new regulations contain improving approval procedure efficiency and eliminating unnecessary trade barrier. The labels of new food shall not only meet requirements of common labels but also contain warning signs such as not suitable for certain weak groups.
