According to the insiders in Russia, the prices of sunflower seeds and sunflower oil in Russia have begun to increase at the beginning of this year.

During the first business days in 2016, the prices of the sunflower seeds and sunflower oil have witnessed average increases of 500 rubles/ton and 1000 rubles/ton, respectively.

The price rises are caused by the ruble exchange rate depreciation due to the slump of the crude oil price.
