Slovakia reduced VATs for some foods

Since January 1, 2016, Slovakia has reduced the VAT rate for some foods from 20% to 10%, covering daily foods, such as meats, fishes, milk and breads. The aim of the activity of the government is to reduce the pressure on the low-incomers. According to estimates, the government will reduce the tax income by 77 million Euros per year.
