On Jan. 28, Mr. Carlos Furche, Secretary of Agriculture of Chile signed agreement with Mr. Zhi Shuping, the Director General of AQSIQ about access of Chile In-shell walnut to China.

China is both the great power of walnut production and the great power of walnut import. About 95% imported walnuts in China are in-shell walnuts. In 2014, Chinese Government issued preferential policies for free-duty import of hulled walnut (walnut kernel) produced in Chile. After acquires access permission, Chile in-shell walnuts will be exported to China without tariff.
