Kandahar Exported Nuts, Dry Fruits and Fruits USD 68 Million in Past Ten Months

According to Daily Outlook Afghanistan, currently, Abdul Baqi Beena, Chairman of Kandahar Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said in the past ten months, Kandahar totally exported USD 68 Million nuts, dry fruits and fresh fruits, in which, nuts and dry fruits are exported 2000t, mainly raisins, pistachio nuts, fig and almonds, etc.; fresh fruits are exported 21,000t, mainly grapes, pomegranate, apricot, melon and apples. In addition, about 4000t herbs and 589,000 hides are exported.

Currently, due to limited export approaches, about 97% fruits of Afghanistan are exported to Pakistan and India, and some are exported to UAE, Germany and America.
