FSANZ Announced the Approval of 3 Proposals for Implementation

According to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), FSANZ issued a public notice 07-16 on March 17, to approve the implementation of the following proposals:

1. To use two kinds of salmonella phage preparation (S16, FO1a) as a processing aid to reduce the risk of salmonella contamination.

2. To exempt part of food labeling allergen ingredient information, including glucose syrup from wheat starch, fully refined soybean oil, soybean derivatives (tocopherols and phytosterols), distilled spirits from wheat or whey.
