The cultivated area of the California’s almonds in 2015 has been increased comparing to that in 2014.
The cultivated area in 2015 has increased 6% up to 111 ten thousand acres, including
production area of 89 ten thousand acres and that of 22 ten thousand not yet
put into production.
The
almonds output in California are major
concentrated in five counties, such as Fresno, Kern, Stanislaus, Madera and Merced. Their combined
output is 73% of the total output in the state.
At present, the types of almonds mostly favored by the planters
are still np, followed by four ones, Monterey, Butte, Carmel and Padre. Up to the second
week of April, all kinds of almonds are growing ideally.
