According to a French website, since September this year, the new logo system scoring food nutrition will be on trail in 50 supermarkets in France.

The pilot LOGO to be implemented in September mainly aims to test effect among consumers. If possible, the logo will cover the entire France by 2017.

It is understood that the color logos are divided into two categories. The first category is comprised of green, blue, orange and purple, and aims to recommend eating frequency of the food. The green represents “eat frequently”, blue represents “eat often”, orange represents “eat less regularly” and purple represents “eat occasionally”. The second category, based the nutrition value of A, B, C, D and E of all foods, assigns a color to every food to indicate nutrition scores. The colors for A to E are respectively from green to red.
