From May 1, 2016, EU member states start to implement the new Union Customs Code. The main changes contain customs estimate, exporter definition, bonded warehouse, processing and trade, certified operators (AEO) and classification information (BTI). The new code will be implemented gradually from May 1, 2016 to the end of 2020. Romania will start using the new code from May 1. The imported and exported commodities in Romania will implement EU standards.
