As introduced by Nguyen Duc Thanh, the Chairman of Vietnam Cashew Nuts Association, in the first five years of 2016, Vietnam totally exports 118,000 ton cashew nuts, with export volume of over USD 1.1 Billion. USA, China and the Netherlands are still the largest exporters of Vietnam cashew nuts, respectively accounting for 35.6%, 14.7% and 10.5% of Vietnam cashew export volume. The association said the plan of 350,000t cashew nuts processing and export is feasible, and would bring income of USD 2.5 Billion.

Currently, the orders of Vietnam cashew nut processing enterprises are continuous, and raw materials are in short supply. They should import greatly from main production countries such as the Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Tanzania and Indonesia.
