Global walnut procurement

The Walnut Commission of California USA announced the walnut delivery report of May in the last month. The delivery in May 2016 keeps a growing trend of early months, with an increase of 30%.

California walnut delivery of May 2016 reaches 41934 tons, which is increased by 30% when compared with 32343 tons in 2015.

According to the annual data, 2015/2016 delivery by May 31 is 507186 tons, which is increased by 15% when compared with 44206 tons of the last year.

As of May 31, 2016, actual output of California walnut is 601884 tons. According to the output of 83000 tons of inventory by the end of the last year, the current sellable inventory is 164000 tons. The delivery can be made in the next three months.

Generally, the current trend is good, and there will be a good harvest in September. Some industry personnel forecasts that 2016’ output will be between 650000 tons - 660000 tons.
