As disclosed by Audu Ogbeh, the Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Nigeria, the Nigerian government encourages production of some agricultural crops so as to increase export, such as cashew nut, cassava, ginger, yam, fruits and vegetables. The Minister said that this action aims to realize sustainable development with diversified economy.
