Iran is one of the largest producing areas of pistachio nuts in the world. However, as reported by foreign media, due to continuously drought, the pistachio farms in Iran are suffering from destructive impact, which will lead to rare output of pistachio nuts. In the previous year, the pistachio output in Iran reached 250,000t. Nevertheless, the drought has caused serious losses to many farms.
