Predicted Yield of 2016/17 Indian Peanuts Reaches 5.8Mt

According to the latest counselor’s report released by Foreign Agricultural Service of USDA, the predicted data of Indian peanut plantation area and yield in 2016/17 respectively rises up to 5million ha. and 5.8 million ton because the plantation area in Gujarat State, Andhra Pradesh and Malhotra is higher than expectation.

The Autumn peanut yield in Gujarat State will account for 40% of that in entire India.

The latest plantation report shows the plantation area of autumn peanuts has reached 4.3 million ha., increasing 32% than that in the same period the previous year. The summer plantation area may approach the average level in recent five years.
