Prediction of California walnuts in 2016

The predicted 2016 output of California walnuts released in this month is 670000t, increasing 11% than the 603000 output in the previous year. The factors, including cold winter in 2015, sufficient precipitation in spring, and additional orchards in harvest period, help the unprecedented high yield.

Although the output in this year is large, currently the old stock of California walnuts is about 72000t. The inventory level is reduced about 10% than that in the previous year.
