Soybean Product Standards Revision and Exposure of Codex Alimentarius

It is reported on Oct. 18 that in CCASIA20 of WHO and FAO, the following product standards are revised as follows:

The food additive use requirements in 4.2.2 of regional standards for non-fermentable soybean goods (CODEX STAN322R-2015) are revised: add use of tocopherol, an antioxidant (INS: 307a, b, c), with maximum limit of 200mg/kg; cancel the use of potassium chloride, a flavor accelerant (INS: 508) with maximum limit of 1000mg/kg.

Deadline for evaluation is May 31, 2017.
