According to global agricultural output report for October
released by United States Department of Agriculture, the maize yield in France
in 2016/17 should be 12.5 million ton by prediction, 1 million ton lower than
the predicted value in the previous year and 1.2 million ton less than that in
the previous year.
The predicted harvest area is 1.5 million ha., 20% lower than the average level in five years, and the lowest value in recent ten years. The predicted per unit area yield is 8.12ton/ha., 6% lower than the predicted value in the previous month, 8% lower than that in the previous year and 9% lower than average value in recent five years.
