On Oct. 17, 2016, India issued G/SPS/N/IND/162 Notification to release 2016 draft of food safety and standards (nutrient enriched food). The main contents of draft contain general provisions, and regulations on addition standards of micronutrient elements in nutrient enriched foods, package, label and sales; issued G/SPS/N/IND/163 notification to release 2016 draft to release 2016 draft of food safety and standards (approval of non-specific food and food ingredient) and mainly regulate scope and procedure of non-specific food and food ingredients. The exposure of aforesaid standard draft ends on Dec. 16, 2016.
