Senegal Peanuts Sales Policy Regulates, adding Export Tax based on Price Hike

On Nov. 28, the Ministry Level Joint Committee of Senegal held peanuts sales conference, which was presided over by Premier Dionne. This conference confirmed Dec. 1 will be customs opening date for peanuts in 2016, and price per kg shall be 210 FCFA, 10 FCFA higher than that in the previous year. The government will pay FCFA 11.5 Billion sales fund to purchase 55000t quality seeds and 20000t refined seeds.

The great change of peanuts sales in this year is to add export tax. The export tax for shelled peanuts shall be FCFA 40 per kg while peanuts in shell shall be FCFA 15 per kg.
