Pine nuts trader in Afghanistan said the price of pine nuts rises greatly in this year. Data shows in 2015, Paktika, Khost and Paktia totally exported 10,000t pine nuts to Pakistan. However, due to lack of precipitation, the pine nut export in this year dropped a half. In 2016, Khost exported about 3500t pine nuts to Pakistan, with export volume of about USD 77 Million.

Pine nuts in Afghanistan are generally exported to Pakistan, and then exported to global market after packaging and processing.
