According to the report dated Jan. 26 of the Star of the South Africa, the report which was released by the grain information service center in South Africa on Wednesday showed that: the corn reserve of the South Africa was 3.12 million tons by the end of 2016, which was reduced by 20% year on year, including 49% yellow corns and 51% white corns. Because of the drought, consumers chose rice and other staple food, and the southern corn consumption at the end of 2016 was reduced by 10% year on year. Even so, the southern corn reserves was still in lower level, and it is expected to continue to import corn this year.
