2016/17 Global Almonds and Walnut Output and Sales Data

Half of 2016/17 production season of global almonds has passed, the output and sales data in several major producing areas, including Australia, America, Spain and China, has released successively. Global output is expected to reach 1.2million ton, while export volume is expected to reach 727,000t; the inventory in the end of the season is expected to be 234,000t, in which inventory in America may reach 191,000t.


In the aspect of import, the overall import volume of China will reach 100,000t, increasing 90-100% compared to previous years; while overall import volume of EU will reach 265,000t.

Output of global walnuts (China, America, Chile, Ukraine and Australia) will reach 2.1million ton, in which output in China and America is accounting for 80%. The world export volume is expected to reach 703,000t; total inventory in the end of the season will reach the new record, 136,000t.


Output in Ukraine will reach 110,000t, in which the export volume will reach 75,000t.
