2017 Cashew Production Analysis in Vietnam and West Africa, with Lowering Price Trend

1: 2017 global macadamia nut output analysis

According to latest investigation of Dong Pu,Bu Dang, Bu Gia Map and Phu Rieng, experts of Vietnam Macadamia Association, on Feb. 2 and Feb. 3 after the Spring Festival, non-seasonal rain, heavy fog and high air humidity have obviously affected growth of new cashew crops.

2: South Africa 2017 macadamia nut output and sales analysis

Currently, new cashew crops grow normally in West Africa (Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria). According to 2017 WCC held in Singapore, the West Africa will produce more high quality cashew nuts than the previous year.


By May 2017, the price of cashew nuts harvested earlier will keep stable or become lower gradually. The harvest of cashew in Vietnam will be later than the previous years, and meanwhile output may be lowered. However, the cashew nut output in Cambodia will be larger.
