The other day, the black pine nuts trader in Kabul said since 2016 the supply of pine nuts reduced due to increased export volume, and pine nut price in Afghanistan market rose rapidly. The price of pine nuts per kg rose to 2700 Afghani than the 700 Afghani in the previous year.

The rising price led to less purchase by Afghanistan citizens. Some merchants said they could sell 15kg pine nuts every day before, but now they only sold 1kg per day.
