The Australian side expressed that the following question applies to the product with the tariff code as 2103900018 at the time of import for the aflatoxin risk existed in the imported peanut and pistachio nut products:

Imported Food Inspection Scheme (IFIS): Whether the commodity contains more than 30% of the peanuts or pistachio nuts or more than 30% of the peanut product and pistachio product? (If the commodity is the peanut oil or pistachio nut oil, the answer is NO).

Australian Department of Agriculture and Water Recourses will ensure the agents can answer the above question based on existing information.

These new requirements will guarantee that all relevant peanut and pistachio nut products are inspected and analyzed according to Imported Food Inspection Laws.
