Due to the drought,
the South Africa
macadamia nut yield reduced almost a half last year. However, since the
end of the second half of last year, there has been abundant rainwater.
At present, the South Africa pecans is about to enter the harvest season also and the
yield prediction of this year is also very optimistic. The overall yield will grow about 30-50% compared to
8,000 tons of last year. It is predicted that the South Africa pecans yield of this
year will exceed 120,000 tons.
If the weather
environment in South Africa in the future two years keeps normal, the predicted
yield of the macadamia nuts with shell will reach 65,000-70,000 tons while the
Australia macadamia nut yield will increased to 50,000 tons.
