Argentina Peanuts Output Increases Greatly this Year

According to report of Chronicle on April 24, Bccba released a report, which predicts peanut output in Argentina this year will increase 32% year on year, increasing to 1.1mt. So far, 11% of 308,600ha. peanut plantation area has finished harvest. As analyzed by INTA, main causes of peanut output increase are suitable climate and application of new technology. Cordoba Province is main producing area of peanuts in Argentina. Peanut industry has always been an important pillar in economic growth of this province.  During 2015-2016, Cordoba Province totally produced 1mt peanuts, in which 90% are for export, accounting for about 1.5% of foreign exchange income in Argentina.
