According to news from Burma cashew nut market, cashew nuts in Ayeyarwady Region, Burma come into the market in a large scale. It is a good news for growers due to high market price. The cashew nut planting area in Ayeyarwady Region is about 65933acre; except Myaungmya, Hengdeda and Labuda, coastal villages and Qiangda and Weisang also grow a lot. It is known that the largest cashew nut market in Ayeyarwady Region locates in Pathein, where has 6-7 purchasing stations. Burma cashew nuts in international market are mostly purchased from purchasing stations to Rangoon and export after unshelling, while local cashew nuts traders are exported to China via Mu Se port after unshelling in processing plants in Pathein and Dabang.
